Before John retired from corporate life in 2021, his wife encouraged him to find a hobby (her way of making sure he wouldn't be hanging around the house too long). John's always had a passion for woodworking, so he started acquiring equipment to do it right. Before long family members were putting their orders in for furniture. After completing several furniture projects, a family member asked John to look at a barn find hickory beach cruiser wagon. The wagon was the first restoration project. but was followed by others as friends found out about his ability to bring quality wood pieces back to life.

John loves to restore quality wood furniture so that it can be returned to daily use, especially family heirlooms. Whether it is replacing broken parts or making a wobbly piece sturdy, there's satisfaction in seeing old, worn furniture returned to service.
